This passion project was born out of our family's love for sports and the arts. Action shots were rare in our time, before everyone had a camera in their pocket. Action shots are now abundant, but rarely are they peak action; let alone crystal clear, up close, and against a blurred background.

This void led to Corey purchasing an entry-level Canon camera with stock lenses, and becoming 'dad photographer' for school/club dance and soccer teams. When our oldest graduated, Corey became team photographer for her college soccer team.

These experiences snowballed into event contracts with The Girls Academy, United States Strongman, The Soccer Tournament (TST), SPARTAN, and IRONMAN. Corey also shoots pro bono for Special Olympics NC.

Entering our fourth year, Simon Stop Motion is committed to providing other families with pro-level action photography at an affordable price. We have experience shooting individual and team sport/performance across a wide spectrum. We also photograph pets : )  We are NCHSAA certified and centrally located to cover North Carolina and surrounding states.
